Ah cereal, America's favorite breakfast food.
Filled to the brim with artificial sweeteners and colors that make every single one of our monkey brains go "mmm". But the best cereals have been the longest standing debate among cereal munchers since whether or not you can call oatmeal "hot cereal".
Wait no longer. Your prayers have been answered. By unanimous vote, with my self as judge and jury, the answers have come. The top 3 best ever cereals are here at your disposal. And thus, the count down begins.
Number 3. Frosted Flakes
Frosted Flakes are amazing. This is an undeniable fact. However, they are only reaching their maximum potential with the addition of carefully sliced ripe bananas. Anything that needs an extra boost to achieve their best taste is a no go. Especially when you encounter the sog factor. Frosted Flakes get soggy after minimum of 30 seconds. But unlike our number one pick, they don't get better with it.
Number 2. Honey Smacks
Honey Smacks are fundamentally crucial to any cereal aficionados pantry. They're sweet and crunchy and delicious. Feed any 11 year old (or 19 year old) a bowl of Honey Smacks and they'll be jumping out of their bodies within the hour. They rate pretty well on the sog scale, only turning to mush if you leave it alone forever. However, where they fail is how they are alone. You CANNOT eat these without bananas. It's just not worth it to even try.
And now. The moment we've been waiting for...
Number 1. Fruit Pebbles
Fruity Pebbles are undoubtedly, God's gift to cereals. They're just sweet enough to make the monkey brain pay attention. I will admit just as much as the next person that the pretty colors draw me in. It would be an absolute slander to pair them with anything besides milk. With the correct milk to pebble ratio - the sog factor is non existent. And even if somehow, you manage to over milk it, soggy fruity pebbs are everything and their texture remains supreme.
got milk?
