A friendship worthy of a DCOM

My best friend is Melanie. This wonderful woman right here.

We have been best friends since the summer in between eighth grade and freshman year and I couldn't imagine a better person. We met because we were both joining band, her on flute, and I playing the saxophone. It might not have been an instant friendship but the ground work was there.

Over the next three years and wayyyyyy too many friend group changes, Mel and I have always been a constant to each other and have always had the other's back. Through Spicy Memories ™️ and heartbreak we've always been at each other's side and wouldn't leave even if it killed us.

She's one of the sweetest people I know and understands me and my idiosyncrasies completely. She asks for my ketchup when I can't and is my personal cheerleader.

She is currently going to Rowan as a undeclared major and is having the time of her life there. But, luckily, she comes home this weekend and I will be able to see her for the first time since my birthday.
