Freshman year was rough, from teachers and assignments to dealing with a freshman year during a pandemic and never having a roommate.
However, as the year comes to a close and sophomore year looms on the horizon, I have to say, I'm not dreading it. I'm actually really looking forward to next semester. I'll be fully on campus. I'll have a full suite.
Classes will be in person. Events will come back. Hopefully the food is good. The only thing I'm not looking forward to next year is being away from my cat.
I'm also really looking forward to my classes. I'm taking 19 credits next semester and 3/6 classes are things I'm actually really excited for. I'm hyped to be taking Geology, Intro to Creative Writing, and Intro to Forensic Studies.
Geology will be awesome because I was and forever will be a rock kid. I love looking at them, learning about them, and collecting them. For real though, I have a bag of rocks in my closet from all the museums and places I've ever been to.
Intro to Creative Writing is something I feel so ready for and I feel like it'll be a relax class. Not in the way of it's going to be easy but more in the terms of me actually loving the subject. I write in my free time and I hope that this class will help me get into the habit of writing every week and being able to finish a project.
The class I'm most excited for is Intro to Forensic Studies. My entire childhood was filled with shows like Bones and Castle and Criminal Minds. I'm so excited to learn about everything that comes with forensics and apply it in assignments. We're also going to be learning about the second hand of criminal forensics which is the law aspect and it seems so cool.
Hopefully, next semester goes the way I want it to. No. Next semester will be great. There. Manifestation.
j. over and out.
